British artist Christopher Green was invited to Stockholm by Tony Cederteg and stayed at Creators Inn by Elvine at Hotel Scandic Malmen in Stockholm.
Who are you and what do you do?
I’m a British artist living and working in London. For the past year and a half I’ve focused mostly on painting. I’m currently working on a large series of paintings titled ‘Between together and afar’ which began in January this year.
What was your reason for visiting Stockholm, and what’s happening while you are here?
I came here a couple of years ago, initially because I was intrigued by the art of Jockum Nordström. I loved the crisp light, and cleanliness of the city. Coming here has helped the mental process of what I do. It’s also been a great opportunity this time around to meet other artists, and see some great shows in such a peaceful environment.
How did you like the room, and what do you think about the Creators Inn by Elvine concept?
To me it seems completely unique, I’ve never heard of anything like it. It definitely beats couchsurfing. I’ve really enjoyed listening to the Twin peaks soundtrack by Angelo Badalamenti which I found among the records in the room!
Any tips and recommendations for future guests?
A boat trip out to one of the islands in the archipelago. The second-hand shops on Hornsgatan.
What’s creativity to you?
The making of ideas and thoughts be that physically or mentally. For me the physical process of making a piece of work brings about lots of new ideas and possibilities.
What’s next?
I’m going to Scotland to see some shows and also visit the highlands for the first time. I’ve heard it’s amazing. Hopefully returning to Sweden before the year is out.
Anyting else to add?
Thank you so much for having me!

I remember the time Chris Green stayed at team macho inn when he was in canada.
He left a chris sized hole in all our hearts. A hole we’ve, until now, only been able to fill by seeing him in his natural setting of london.
Now I think of the possibilities of finding him in a city foreign to the both of us.
How thrilling.
