Patrik Axén (SE)

Patrik Axén (SE) is a film producer from Elvine’s hometown of Gothenburg. He has just started a master program in Nordic co-production of film in Stockholm, and since we love collaborations and co-productions we arranged so that he could stay at Creators Inn by Elvine.

Who are you and what do you do? Do you consider yourself creative and if so, in what way?
My name is Patrik Axén and I work as a film producer at a small production company named Stavro based in Gothenburg. There is a joke that the only creatives in Hollywood are the accountants, but I live in Sweden and yes, I do consider myself creative. Both in an artistic but also in a problem-solving kind of way.

What was your reason for visiting Stockholm, and what happened while you were here?
I just started a master program in nordic co-production at Dramatiska Institutet – the University College of Film, Radio, TV and Theatre. That was the reason for coming to Stockholm this time. But I have actually spent quite a lot of time in this room writing and developing an idea for a film. I have also had a few promising meetings with colleagues regarding future projects.

How did you like the room, and what do you think about the Creators Inn by Elvine concept?
The rooms were excellent and all of a sudden I feel an urge to get an old-school turn-table… And the concept is great, a definite win-win deal for all parties involved.

Any tips and recommendations for future guests? Did you include anything on the map?
I did put something on the message board.

What’s creativity to you?
That is a difficult one to define, but what does impress me more than creative people are creative people who actually put their creative thoughts into action. Sometimes I am scared of becoming just an idea-guy…
